CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Hey everybody! Sorry I missed ya’ll last week, I was recovering from three weeks of travel and I was completely wiped out, so still recovering, I think. But for the most part, I think I'm good. 

 So today we're talking about Christmas in July. So it's Coffee Chats with Candice, it's 10am on Thursday, and I’m pouring me a cup of coffee, I got smart and put my coffee in a little corral slot and run out of coffee, because I typically do anyway. 

So grab your coffee or a beverage of your choice, no judgement for me and let's dive in.

Also, if you're new to me, my name is Candice Montgomery, and I own three businesses. The first one, I started with my husband in 1996 and we are in our 27th year  this year, and we paid-off over $450,000 in seven years time.  So today I'm talking about Christmas in July. Like I said, if the Claritin commercial wasn't enough, you know, the one I'm talking about where it says its most wonderful time of the year, and they're talking about allergy season, I'm like, they're gonna ruin that song for me. If if they keep playing this, because now they're gonna be playing it during the summer, and they're gonna be playing it at Christmas time. 

So, anyway, but now that July 4 is done, I'm seeing posts, that people are ready for fall and here now I'm talking about Christmas. 

Christmas in July is always a big theme – so let's make a plan. Ready? 
 
If you save $50 a month, you'll have $300. 
If you save $75 a month, you'll have $450. 
If you save $100 a month, you'll have $600. 
 
So what can you do for the next six months to make this happen? I know you can find it… you can find that money in your budget! If you have a written budget, you can find it, trust me. 

All right, here's some hacks for you.  
 
First of all, you want to make your list and there's multiple lists:  
 
- You want to know who you're buying for. 
- You want to know what the budget is for each person. 
- And why not give experiences over things? 
 
Maybe the little minimalist in me is coming out today. Movie, concert, airline gift cards, maybe time together, or special day that you can that you can schedule with the person that you want to give to. 
 
We don't have to give to everybody. I know that's kind of been ingrained in our lives for so long and a lot of people's love language is that, but we don't have to give to everybody and we can do other things to make it more important to them.  
 
The other thing you can do is you can budget your meal planning and menu planning. It happens every year at the same time, so why can't we plan ahead and remove more stress out of our lives.
